The “Freestyle Electro Production Kit” sample pack [the word “Production” was spelled exactly like that, in the German style] was available for sale on eBay (in the German segment) until 2009, where it was sold in CD-R format and could only be ordered from Germany.
This unique release includes not just samples, but also full-fledged sound elements for musical production—such as melodies, vocoder phrases, synthesized parts, special effects, and other building blocks of the Electro Freestyle style. The samples were prepared by the producer of the legendary German electronic music project “Freestyle Project,” whose albums were released from 1998 to 2003—Michael Baur (sometimes under the pseudonyms Franz Merwald, Steven Maverick, etc.), who also ran the studio “MNF Records” – a division of “Manifold Music” in Augsburg. In the early 1990s, Baur founded Manifold Music (known for DJ Crack and DJ Darkzone), and since 1998, he has made MNF Records its official subsidiary.
This sample pack contains a small number of samples from other sources (in folders without the initial “FS” tag), but stylistically, they are entirely consistent with the Electro Freestyle genre. The person who gave this sample pack to the author of this distribution preserved it exclusively in this form. The original disc cover featuring an image of the recording studio is unfortunately lost (a different image has been used instead). Judging by the metadata of the audio files, the original samples were prepared in 2001.
