A powerful platform for virtual instruments and sampling.

Kontakt 8 offers an updated engine, thousands of compatible libraries, and new tools for generating and processing sound. Included are Leap (loop manipulation), Chords & Phrases (fast harmonies and riffs), Patterns (sequencer and arpeggiator), and Conflux, a hybrid synth with wavetables and modulation.

Compatible with Kontakt Player and libraries from NI and third-party developers. The updated Factory Library includes acoustic, electronic, and orchestral sounds.

Kontakt is used in hits, film, and TV, is compatible with any DAW, and integrates with Native Instruments hardware. It is the center of the Komplete sound ecosystem.

Chords and Phrases are supported in this version. This distribution includes all the main methods for adding libraries to Kontakt 8: Add Library V4, NICNT Creator 2.0.1, and NI Creator Tools. The tools have been tested on a MacBook Air M1, MacBook Pro M4, and Sequoia 15.5. Add Library V4 is sufficient for most libraries, and NICNT Creator is sufficient for creating .nicnt files. In rare cases, you may need to try other utilities included in the package.
